How much will it save in energy cost. For every 27 gallons/123 litres of hot water you gain from the sun you will save around £3.00 in gas or electricity cost.
So working pay-back is easy. The worst scenario is 150 days of collectable sunshine a year from the solar panels -- 150 days x £3.00 = £450.00. Total cost £650.00/£450.00 =
1.4 years.
