Fajã dos Padres elevator, nr. Quinta Grande, was inaugurated in 1997 descends 300m/1000ft to a hamlet of eleven houses and a restaurant. To dine at this restaurant is as near to paradise one can achieve from the bustle of Funchal. The terraces are laden with Mango, Avocado, Banana and Papaya with a tranquil beach area. I recommend a lunch time visit. |
